Homage In Memory of Sylvia Rafael

Annual Act of Homage In Memory of Sylvia Rafael

Telfed invites you to join us in paying homage to this South African born

Israeli heroine at her graveside on:

Kibbutz Ramat HaKovesh at 11:00 on Thursday 11 May 2017

About 20 mins from Raanana, via Tchernichovsky Street, Kfar Sava, travelling north.

(Put “Kibbutz Ramat Hakovesh” into Waze)

Following intensive research into this highly effective Mossad agent, Dave Kaplan will bring us up to date on new facts that he has gleaned about the early life of this amazing woman, in paying homage to her memory.

“One day, when true peace comes, they will write books about her, make movies of her life and name streets after her,” Eitan Haber, a veteran defence correspondent of that era, wrote in Yediot Ahronot, when he penned her obituary after her death on 9 February 2005.

The movies have been made, the books have been written. Now we have a duty to pay homage to the memory of this famous daughter of South Africa to whom Israel owes so much.
