Have you ever wondered what “Ingera” is?

The answer to that question (it's traditional Ethiopian bread) and to many others, for example – how you do the “shoulders” dance, were

discovered by our TECI (Telfed Ethiopian Community Initiative) members and the SA community in Hadera on the Ethiopian day, organised by Maksam, one of the projects that TECI has undertook to assist.

A moving and exciting meeting took place between the members of the Ethiopian community in Hadera, the Hadera municipality and TECI members. Traditional Ethiopian food was laid out in a beautiful way. Colorful Ethiopian artwork was presented at the small hall of local community center. In addition to that all had a chance to meet the children of the Maksam Kaitana and to dance with them to the sounds of Ethiopian music.
If you would like to volunteer with the Ethiopian community in Hadera through TECI, please contact Lina Tarna, the head of volunteerism at Telfed: lina@telfed.org.il or call 09-790-7805.
