Smoky Simon is honoured by President Rivlin

On Thursday 28th December 2017, Smoky Simon, his wife Myra, children and grandchildren, were invited to meet with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin at his residence in Jerusalem.

Smoky was honoured for his 24 years service as Hon. Treasurer of the Menachem Begin Heritage Foundation, and for being one of the Founders of the Menachem Begin Heritage Centre.  Hertzy Makov, the CEO of the Begin Centre, presented Smoky with a silver plaque from the Begin Centre in recognition of his service.

On 10th October 2017, Smoky Simon was presented with an “Ot Hakara” (award of recognition) by the Minister of Defense (Hon. Avigdor Lieberman), for his role as Chairman of World Machal (1948-49),  and for his contribution to Israel’s security.
