Settling into a new country can be exciting and challenging – but is also demanding and stressful.
The “Culture Shock” is often accompanied by social, educational, financial and personal difficulties.
Very often it is us women who carry most of the burden. Dealing with our own concerns as well as those of others can be overwhelming and very often requires an adjustment period.

 


The Aliyah Reflections & Ripples workshops offered by the Raanana Women’s Council uniquely addresses the needs English speaking Olot
The workshops , facilitated by two professional social workers who have gone through the aliyah process themselves will enable you to:
• Meet and share experiences with other olim
• Identify and understand aspects of culture shock while acknowledging the differences cultural values (country of origin and the new culture)
• Understanding the adaptation process
• Legitimize feelings of longing and missing family and friends
