The Media Team is compiling a booklet of reports from their recent visit to Israel. Should anyone be interested in obtaining a copy, it will be available from the office on 011 645 2510.
RADIO 702
The Media Team members sent a letter to the Programme Manager of Talk Radio 702 explaining that they had completed a fact-finding mission similar to that of the human rights activists, and offering to appear on a programme like the one aired last week during which they could place the reasons for the conflict and the situation of the Palestinians in context, which the activists had failed to do. However the offer was refused, one of the reasons being that most of the members of the Media Team were "people who are of Jewish origin" and also that the delegation "does not seem to comprise the profile or stature of the SAHR delegation."
MONITORINGSA
Bev Goldman and Lisa Peretz met with Shaka Sisulu, Director of MonitoringSA.
