Debunking the Apartheid Myth - combating the delegitimisation of Israel

A large audience, many of them of them former Southern Africans attended a panel debate co-sponsored by Telfed on “Combating Israel’s Delegitimization: Debunking the Apartheid Myth,” held at the Menachem Begin Heritage Centre in Jerusalem. The event organized by two South African olim, Ari Rudolph and Diane Morrison, as part of their year-long project for the Legacy Heritage Fellowship, was addressed by Prof. Gideon Shimoni, author of Community and Conscience: The Jews in Apartheid South Africa; Dore Gold, former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, and D.J.Schneeweiss, coordinator of anti-boycott strategy at the Israeli Foreign Ministry. The event was introduced by Telfed Chairman Maish Isaacson and the moderator was Jerusalem Post Editor-in-Chief David Horovitz.
