10 March 2011 marks the official launch of www.GroopScoop.co.il, an English language website featuring amazing, heavily discounted daily deals on products, restaurants , services and fun activities in the greater Jerusalem area and beyond.

GroopScoop was created in Jerusalem at the beginning of 2011 by two Olim - a South African and an Australian - specifically with the Anglo Oleh in mind.

We understand that even though times are tough, people still like to go out, have fun, and try out new things. By getting individuals together to leverage a group discount we make this more attainable. Therefore we are able to offer local merchants the opportunity to gain loyal new customers in large numbers and at the same time promote a great deal for our members.

Aside from offering good quality and useful products at significant discounts from a wide range of suppliers, what makes us unique is GroopScoop's focus on businesses owned and run by Olim. In other words “Olim Supporting Olim” (this dual focus on Olim is at the heart of GrOOpScOOp).

We are also committed to giving back to the community by channeling part of the proceeds each month to a charity. We welcome, and will act on, suggestions from our members as to which charity they would like to support.
