Group flight of nearly 40 Olim arrives from S.Africa

Another group flight of some 40 Olim arrived last night (11th April) from S.Africa and were warmly greeted at Ben Gurion Airport by Telfed officials and helped through the initial klita (absorption) process. After receiving their documents the olim boarded a bus to a hotel in Jerusalem where they were able to rest from their long flight. The next day the group receive additional guidance and assistance from Telfed and Jewish Agency staff including their Israeli identify cards and other services. Chairman Maish Isaacson and Deputy Chairman Dave Bloom met the olim as the stepped off the plane and guided them through their first steps in klita which involved receiving their teudot oleh from the Ministry of Klita and Aliya.  The excited but tired olim sat patiently to be called to receive their documents which gives them special rights as new immigrants - ranging from financial support to learning Hebrew.
