Josh Evans - Most Valuable Player

Nineteen year old Josh Evans knocked it out of the park for Israeli cricket recently when he was awarded the title of MVP - Most Valuable Player. Beating candidates from nine other teams, Josh impressed umpires to take home this prestigious award. A real coup for Israeli cricket! Josh certainly returned from Europe victorious and is blazing a trail for other young Israeli cricketers.
 

Josh was recently selected for the ICC Europe Emerging Players Programme.The programme is for talented players in Europ and Josh is the 3rd player in 10 years to be selected from Israel. Other players who have been selected in the past include Solomon Varsulkar from Dimona and Gabi Schachat from Ra'anana. Only 12 players from Europe are selected each year, so this is a great achievement!

Josh is earmarked to once again represent Israel at the ICC European Championships in July as well as the u19 tournament in August.
