New Service: Switch Kupat Cholim Online

 As of Thursday, November 17, residents are able to do so online via the National Insurance Institute’s website (www.btl.gov.il), instead of going to a post office branch to switch membership from one health fund to another.

Regulations allow changing health insurers up to twice a year by selecting one of six dates for the move to go into effect. The Health Ministry and the NII (Bituach Leumi), which deducts health taxes from wages and allocates them among the four health funds, cooperated on the new arrangement.
