Olim get-together - Jerusalem/Ma'aleh Adumim  

In early July, Telfed Jerusalem teamed up with Telfed Ma'aleh Adumim (yes, we do exist!) and organised a get-together in the Mitzpe Nevo neighbourhood in Ma'aleh Adumim. The evening started with a gathering in the local park, where young and old Olim intermingled and shared their experiences.

 As has become traditional with us "Dromi folks", the evening was complemented with a scrumptious braai, sponsored in part by the estate agent "Tivuch Shelly", whose representative presented a short talk about housing and rental in Israel. About 40 people attended and what turned out most surprising, was that there were those who also came from afar - Karnei Shomron, Beit El and even Ra'anana! All in all, everyone enjoyed an evening mixed with new experiences and filled with nostalgia. "I make sure to attend every function of the Telfed Jerusalem Regional committee," said Daniel, a recent Oleh from Johannesburg. "In the last few months we have had a Friday night communal meal for singles and young couples in Jerusalem and now this great braai! Kol Ha'Kavod to the dedicated volunteers on this committee."
