September Update

To read reports on Israel cricket see

Players 11 years and older we will be finishing at 6:30pm.
For players up to 10 years old - the finishing time will remain as usual - 6pm.

The extra 30 minutes will allow the older players to get used to hard ball cricket as we are going to be starting a hard ball cricket league shortly.

On a very positive note, the Israel Senior Cricket Team won their first ever European Tournament in Spain and will now meet Croatia in Zagreb in October in a playoff match. Ra'anana players Steven Shein and Gabi Shachat excelled in Spain with Gabi scoring his maiden senior international 50 vs Malta.

The Israel Cricket Association has recently employed Herschel Gutman as the National Cricket Development Officer. Ran'anana will be starting  regular cricket chugs from next week. Ran'anana has a produced a large number of Israeli cricket players playing International cricket in the various age groups, no fewer than 18 players have represented Israel from the Ran'anana area. This is entirely down to regular cricket chugs, good coaching and player and parent commitment.

Please take note of the following starting times and days:
  • Venue: Basketball Court in the Park
  • Day: MONDAY
  • Time: 4:30pm - 6pm

  • Cost: nis 100/month
  • Dress code and what to bring:  (1) Sunblock, (2) a bottle of water, (3) a friend, (4) any cricket equipment you might have - but please make sure that you put a name on the equipment. To wear only White or Blue t shirts, no bright colours.

We will be starting on Monday 18th May and will practice through to the end of the school year in June. We will then continue when school starts again in September. There are many options for the summer holidays (practice games vs other towns, group training at our National Stadium and trips down to South)
