Telfed set to welcome second group flight of Olim from South Africa

Telfed is all set to welcome the special El Al flight bringing in a group of Southern African olim on Wednesday evening, 31st of  December 2008. 

 This is a special project of the Israel Center in Johannesburg and the Jewish Agency for Israel, which focuses on the idea of group aliyah.  Upon arrival the group will be transported for a welcoming and orientation seminar to a hotel in Jerusalem prior to taking up residence in virtually every part of the country. 

The Telfed professional staff, representatives of Telfed's regional committees and matching family partners will be on hand throughout this seminar to facilitate the path to initial absorption and a smooth transition into the beginning of life in Israel. 

On Thursday morning, the olim will be officially welcomed by the State of Israel at a ceremony opposite the Western Wall in Jerusalem.  We wish them "bruchim ha'baim" and promise to guide them faithfully through the beginning of a whole new life!
