TELFED UPDATES FOR NEW OLIM

(With thanks to Ronen Goldman – UJIA) 1. Misrad Hapnim (Ministry of Interior) has new opening hours for the public.
The new hours are as follows: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 – 12:00
Monday and Wednesday: 14:30 – 17:30
The offices will no longer be open on Wednesday mornings.  For further information re other ministries...

2.  MISRAD HAKLITA

Misrad Haklita (Ministry of Immigrant Absorption) has reinstated their Voucher Project with new conditions.
Priority is given to those who applied for the Voucher Project over the past 2 years and who were rejected due to lack of funding.

3.  BITUACH LEUMI
Reminder to new olim!
Olim Chadashim who have been in Israel for 12 months and are not yet working or are not receiving any assistance  (pension, unemployment or disability insurance) from National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) must approach  Bituach Leumi to organize payments for their compulsory medical coverage, which is paid via Bituach Leumi.
Please remember to take your Teudat Zehut, Teudat Oleh and bank account details (or you can request a booklet of bills to be paid at the Post Office).

4.  YERUSHALMI CARD FOR NEW OLIM

The Aliyah Absorption Authority of the Municipality of Jerusalem is pleased to offer a free Jerusalem Card to new olim residing in Jerusalem in their first year after Aliyah.
The Jerusalem Card gives its holder a variety of discounts in Jerusalem. For more info – check out http://www.yerushalmi.org.il/
To get your free card, contact Akiva Werber, project director, aliyah from English speaking counties at 02-6214521 – Your Teudat Zehut & Teudat Oleh must show an address in Jerusalem and date of Aliyah.
Alternately, you can arrange to purchase the card, check the above website, call 1-700-53-00-02 or visit the office in city hall – Kikar Safra building 1, 2nd floor, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9:00 – 15:00, Tuesdays 9:00 – 18:00
