Telfed welcomes Kibbutz Ulpan participants at Ben Gurion Airport

On Monday evening, 30 of January 2012, on behalf of TELFED’s Haifa Regional Committee, I had the pleasure of welcoming the 7 young South African new Olim  destined for Kibbutz Ulpan at Maagan Michael.

Two of the Olim happened to be past students of mine from Herzlia School in Cape Town.

After their initial processing with Misrad HaKlita at the airport, which took under an hour, we had a few moments to talk.

I was really pleasantly amused when one of the Olim referred to me as Mr Gordon!!!

Their taxi ride up North was made more enjoyable with TELFED’s welcome snack bags filled with Bizli, Bumba and Elite Chocolates!

We wish them best of luck at their Ulpan and look forward to hearing from them about their progress.
