Habima new Israeli play by Ruby Porat Shoval - A Birthmark. The play takes place between the engagement party and wedding of the Rabbai's daughter and her chosen. A dark secret was exposed that threatened their love. The bride's mother shares the news with her best friend who is a secular physician in the community. The couple have a rare genetic disease. They walk side by side, with doubt to their Chupa or to their tragic end.The play was written by Ruby Porat Shoval who also wrote the plays "Naomi" and "Tashlich".

21/04/2011  & 23/4/11 The Caucasian Chalk Circle Chamber

The Cameri Theater with Brecht's play - The Caucasian Chalk Circle. The plot of the play takes place in feudal Georgia, during the war with Iran. After a local coup kills the governor, his wife escapes from the burning city, and does not forget to take her the best clothing. While escaping, she abandons her son.  The divorced kitchen girl, finds the abandoned baby, and having no other choice, she loads him on her back and sets off with him for a hard journey full of dangers and multi-hardships, finding him food and concealment. A few years later, when the country becomes quiet, divorced and married again against her will in order to give name and shelter to her adopted child, she is called to the capital to stand for trial in front of the child's biological mother demanding him and the millions he was supposed to inherit, for herself.
