Customer Service Representative, Jerusalem (April 2024)

The Global Center in Jerusalem is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to provide essential information and support to potential Olim, both before and after their Aliyah process. This role is pivotal in managing Aliyah files, monitoring activities related to Aliyah and Absorption in Israel and abroad, and ensuring the progress of candidates through the Aliyah process.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer information and personal support to potential Olim throughout the Aliyah process.
  • Open and manage Aliyah files effectively.
  • Oversee the activities of the Aliyah and Absorption unit both in Israel and internationally.
  • Track the progress of Aliyah candidates who have not yet completed the process.
  • Utilize advanced CRM systems, social networks, and other platforms for effective communication and outreach.
  • Engage in proactive outreach to global Jewry, marketing the activities of the Jewish Agency and registering interest in programs (telemarketing).
  • Support agency-wide projects as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

  • A high school diploma is mandatory; relevant academic education is an advantage.
  • Native English speaker with good proficiency in Hebrew; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Familiarity with North American Jewish communities is beneficial.
  • Proven customer service experience is highly valued.
  • Competency in computer use, including Office software; CRM system experience is a plus.
  • Experience in telemarketing is an advantage.
  • Participation in Jewish Agency programs in Israel or abroad is beneficial.
  • High customer service orientation, multitasking ability, patience, teamwork skills, interpersonal proficiency, and quick technological adaptation.

Important Information:

  • Flexible working hours required, including various shifts (08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00, 12:00-20:00) and 2-3 late shifts per week.
  • Occasional Friday shifts until 1:30 p.m., on holiday eves, and during Sukkot and Passover.
  • Location: The Global Center, Jerusalem.
  • Position Scope: Full-time, with additional hours as needed.
  • Compensation: Monthly salary of 6,500 NIS, overtime payment, annual performance bonuses, and public transportation reimbursement.
