Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), a leading news agency dedicated to covering Israel and Jewish-related topics, is on the hunt for Investigative News Reporters for both our U.S. and Israel bureaus. This position is open to candidates interested in both full-time and freelance opportunities, allowing for remote work.

Role Overview: The successful candidates will delve into in-depth investigations surrounding Middle Eastern and Jewish affairs, crafting compelling narratives that unveil truths and inform our readership. This role demands a proactive approach to uncovering stories, a thorough investigative process, and the ability to translate findings into engaging, well-written reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations on relevant Middle Eastern and Jewish topics.
  • Utilize a wide range of investigative techniques to gather, verify, and analyze information.
  • Produce in-depth reports that adhere to the highest journalistic standards.
  • Work closely with editors and the broader news team to identify potential investigative stories.
  • Maintain strict adherence to journalistic ethics and standards throughout the investigative process.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of reporting experience, with a strong emphasis on investigative journalism.
  • News-savvy, with a keen interest in Middle Eastern and Jewish affairs.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis.
