Payroll Department Manager, Haifa (March 2024)

ZIM Company is recruiting a Payroll Department Manager for our Human Resources Department in the Global Operations Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the payroll department including payments and retirement (including compensation calculations and benefits, form 161 issuance, training, and accompanying the retiring employee).
  • Issue documents for pensioners/early retirement (pension funds, National Insurance, employment certificates).
  • Work with pension funds on retirement issues of seafarers and pensioners.
  • Present and exhibit work periods and payroll data in case of claims.
  • New Israeli seafarer salary guidance and update for new employees.
  • Payroll monitoring, payments, and tax before monthly payroll closing and performing payroll closing.
  • Annual controls and handling forms 101 and 106.
  • Continuous contact with the pension agency and funds.
  • Quarterly reports to National Insurance: absence leaves, early retirement, and trainees; management of work accidents and diseases with National Insurance.
  • Customer service for all payroll matters (for Israelis/foreigners/pensioners/agencies).

Work Schedule: Hybrid work model (one work from home day).

Requirements:

  • Payroll accountant certificate is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll accounting.
  • Mastery and familiarity with collective agreements are mandatory.
  • Experience with SAP is mandatory.
  • Good command of Office applications (especially Excel).
  • High level of English (writing, reading, and speaking).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
