Tour Operator, Jerusalem (May 2024)

The Israeli Experience, a subsidiary of the Jewish Agency specializing in organizing and implementing experiential and educational tours to Israel for youth, students, and adults from around the world, is seeking a Tour Operator for an international youth leadership program. This includes seminars, conferences, summer programs in Israel, Shabbatons, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing client interactions to create and maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Handling logistical bookings and coordinating with tourism suppliers: accommodations, transportation, meals, sites, etc.
  • Providing on-ground support and ongoing operation for groups.
  • Recruiting and managing temporary teams.
  • Writing price proposals and budgeting.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and operational skills, preferably with experience in the tourism sector.
  • Ability to manage complex projects from conception to execution.
  • Excellent multitasking ability (Multi Task).
  • High level of service awareness, excellent interpersonal communication with clients and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Office and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Monday software is an advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Availability to work non-standard hours occasionally.
  • The position is based in our Jerusalem office and may include travel across the country.
