Video Editor, Jerusalem (April 2024)

Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), a leading news agency covering Israel and the Jewish world, is expanding its Podcasts Division and is in search of a talented Video Editor. This hybrid role, based in Jerusalem, offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the editing and creative direction of our video podcasts. Beyond podcast editing, the role involves generating engaging marketing videos, social media content, and promotional materials to elevate JNS’s digital presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit video podcasts to ensure they are engaging and of high quality.
  • Produce compelling marketing videos, advertisements, and promotional content.
  • Work closely with the production team to align with project goals and requirements.
  • Deliver edited content on schedule while upholding high production standards.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and editing techniques to improve video quality.
  • Offer creative input to enhance the visual storytelling of our content.
  • Support the Senior Editor & Director in overseeing video podcast production as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in video editing.
  • Mastery of Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects and other motion graphics software is beneficial.
  • A deep understanding of video editing techniques, narrative construction, and rhythm.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • A creative eye for visual storytelling.
  • Experience in a control room setting is an advantage.
  • Skills in photography and filming are desirable.
