South African and Australian Lone Soldiers were invited to Telfed’s annual Lone Soldier Brunch on Friday 15 October, in partnership with Australian Ambassador to Israel, His Excellency Paul Griffiths, and the Zionist Federation of Australia.
Our Lone Soldiers travelled from their bases across the country to join us for brunch, and Telfed had the opportunity to distribute gifts to all those who attended. In addition to backpacks and gift cards, we extend our thanks to Keter for the generous donation of water bottles and lunch boxes, to the ‘Grandmothers of the Sharon Knitting Group’ for the beautiful knitted blankets, and to our regional committees and members of the community who collected and donated toiletries over the summer.
