At the end of April, a Telfed delegation visited South African Olim living in Maayan Baruch, Kfar Giladi, Kfar Blum and Manara. All the communities were evacuated, with the exception of Kfar Blum despite enduring periods of intense rocket fire.
It is always a privilege to spend time with so many veteran Olim, to hear their stories firsthand, to listen to their concerns, and to gain a deeper understanding of the realities they face. While we’ve been in contact with our northern communities since the start of the war, nothing compares to meeting in person and sharing a warm embrace.
Each member of the Telfed team, both staff and volunteers, left deeply moved by the strength and resilience we witnessed. We are reminded, once again, that our community is extraordinary. Their unwavering spirit continues to inspire us and fills us with hope for the future.
