Honouring the Heart Behind the Heroes: A Morning with South African and Australian Army Moms

Last month, Telfed had the honour of hosting a breakfast for over 40 extraordinary women – South African and Australian mothers and wives of soldiers serving in Israel.

For more than 20 months, these soldiers have courageously stood on the frontlines, guarding our communities and defending our way of life. Yet behind every soldier is a family that carries a different kind of burden – long nights, constant worry, and the emotional toll of waiting and hoping from afar.

In recognition of their strength and sacrifice, we invited these remarkable women to a special breakfast held in their honour. It was a small but heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the quiet resilience and unwavering support they embody every single day.

We are especially grateful to Liza Kramer and Claudia Davimes, who joined us to offer their guidance and compassionate insight. Their words helped navigate the emotional complexities that come with having a loved one in uniform, offering comfort and tools for coping during these challenging times.

The morning was more than just a meal – it was a moment of solidarity, healing and connection. At Telfed, we are proud to stand with the families who stand behind our soldiers.
