An award-winning photojournalist is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to oversee and grow her Instagram presence. This role involves managing a combined personal-and-professional account, requiring sensitivity to tone, privacy, and the balance between her work, voice, and day-to-day life.
Role Overview:
You’ll manage the photojournalist’s Instagram account with the goal of showcasing her photography and storytelling to an engaged, international audience. This includes curating content, planning and scheduling posts, writing captions that reflect her authentic voice, and helping develop a consistent visual narrative that aligns with her brand and ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a posting calendar based on exhibitions, publications, and new projects
* Select and edit images (in coordination with the photojournalist) for social media
* Write compelling, accurate captions and adapt tone for different audiences
* Engage with followers and relevant photography/journalism communities
* Monitor analytics and suggest growth strategies
* Collaborate on creative campaigns, reels, and partnerships
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of Instagram, visual storytelling, and social media strategy
* Background in photography, visual arts, or journalism (advantage)
* Experience managing professional or artist accounts
* Excellent written English, Good understanding in Hebrew with fluency as an advantage
* Aesthetic eye and ability to maintain consistent visual tone
* Ability to work independently and responsively
