Financial Needs Scholarship - Required Documentation

  1. Teudat Zehut – a copy of your Israeli ID (for new ID, please send a copy of both sides).
  2. Proof of enrollment for the upcoming academic year. If you do not have formal documents stating that you are a student in an academic institution, you may send a photo/screenshot of enrollment down payment (registration payment is not sufficient). Please note that a letter of acceptance to the university is not acceptable. If you do not yet have this documentation, please send all other required documentation and forward the additional missing documents as soon as they are available.
  3. Income statement (Applicant). Accepted documents: salary slips for the past 3 months, or bank statements from the past 6 months, or proof of unemployment from Bituach Leumi.
  4. Income statements from spouse, parent or any other source of financial support. Please note: As we require proof of income in order to proceed we need one of the following documents:
    • Salary slips for the past 3 months of spouse/parents
    • Or bank statements from the past 6 months from your spouse/parents. Bank statements must include the account holder’s name.
    • Or, if unemployed – please send us proof of unemployment from Bituach Leumi for spouse/parents. Please note that it can usually be downloaded from their website.
    • For those who are financially independent, you are required to complete a declaration of financial independence. In addition,  6 months bank statements are required as well as proof of address (i.e. a utility bill in your name, e.g. water or electricity).
  5. Military/National Service – IDF Release papers, IDF Exemption Confirmation, or “Sherut Leumi” completion certificate.
  6. Proof of Southern African lineage*
    • Copy of Southern African ID
    • copy of birth certificate
    • copy of SA passport
    • copy of Teudat Oleh (for 3rd generation applicants, please ensure you include adequate documentation to prove SA lineage, e.g. birth certificates or ID for yourself and your parent)

*Southern Africa refers to the geographic regions of Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe (previously Rhodesia).
