Telfed is proud to be serving Southern African Olim for 60 years.
With over 100 Southern African
Olim families living in Hod Ha'Sharon, the city is currently absorbing
growing numbers of Southern African Olim, who have chosen to live in the many
different areas throughout the city. Religious, secular, young, pensioners - Hod
Ha'Sharon attracts them all! Since this beautiful city of the Sharon holds such
great potential to become a major attraction for new Southern African Olim, we
wish to ensure that a vibrant Telfed Regional Committee is up and running in
order to welcome them.
We invite you
to come and play a part, however large or small, in the fantastic process of
Olim integration into Hod Ha'Sharon.
Therefore, you are cordially
invited to the Annual General
Meeting of the Telfed Hod Ha'Sharon Regional
Committee, which will take place
on Thursday 13 March 2008 (6 Adar
Bet 5768) at 8.00 pm at the Merkaz Ha'Omanut
ve'Tarbut (room number 4) on Kfar Hadar Street in Hod Ha'Sharon, in
the presence of the Telfed Chairman, Mr Maish Isaacson and outgoing
Telfed Hod Ha'Sharon Regional Chairman, Mr Kevin
Kenigsberg.
The guest
speaker will be Mr Dan
Shaham - Director of the South African desk of the Israel
Foreign Ministry. Mr Shaham will update us on "Recent exciting
changes in South African-Israel relations". He will
discuss the current political relations
between South Africa and
Israel and what each one of us can do
in order to improve the situation. Following the talk, a question and
answer session will be held between Mr Shaham and the
audience.
On a lighter
note....
Lisa Brink
of Delicious! Cookery School will attending the Annual General
Meeting too and will treat the audience to a demonstration on how to produce
creative mishloach
manot with minimum time, cost and effort.
(Lisa and family are recent Olim from Johannesburg and now live very happily in Hod
Ha'Sharon.)
Voting will
then take place for a new Chairperson of the Telfed Hod Ha'Sharon Regional
Committee.
